Certified Project Director (CPD)
The Certified Project Director (CPD) is the globally recognized and most prestige level of project and program management credential, which is designed for senior and experienced project and program management executives, who want to go beyond the CPM and other business / project management certifications. The CPD certification allows experienced senior managers and executives to acquire new skills and advanced techniques in managing and controlling todayís complex project and program management issues Ė from managing risks and quality to managing scope and budgets. The IAPPM certified training curriculum and CPMBOK will provide CPD candidates with the competencies to align the projects and programs with corporate strategy, direct and supervise people at every level, and control enterprise-level projects.
Certified Project Director (CPD) Credential

Senior and experienced project and program management executives who want to go beyond to the CPM certification to become the globally recognized and most prestige level of project and program management credential as CPD must meet the following requirements when submitting an application.

At the time of the application, the candidate must hold a minimum university Bachelorís, Post-graduate / Masterís degree or above, or equivalent. The candidate is required to complete the following four (4) tracks in order to attain the CPD credential.

CPD Credential Track Description
Track 1: Academic / Professional Background (1) Bachelorís university degree; OR
(2) Post-graduate / Masterís university degree or above, or globally equivalent; OR
(3) Certified Project Manager (CPM) credential;
Track 2: Project Management Experience (1) Bachelorís university degree candidates:
Minimum 10 years / 120 months non-overlapping project and program management experience during which at least 8,500 hours are spent leading and directing project tasks in all project and management domains; OR
(2) Post-graduate / Masterís university degree or above candidates:
Minimum 8 years / 96 months non-over-lapping project and program management experience during which at least 7,000 hours are spent leading and directing project tasks in all project and management domains; AND
Track 3: Project Management Education and Training 16 of contact hour s of CPD project and program management accelerated training and workshop; AND
Track 4: Research / Knowledge Paper Submission 3,000 words of project and program management research paper after CPD completion of project and program management accelerated training.
