Membership  Associate Guidelines 
Associate Guidelines
Every candidate for election to the class of Associate shall normally have attained the age of eighteen years and, in the opinion of the Association, have been introduced to the project management industry or to the profession as shall make it desirable that he/she be a Associate of the Association, and contribute as follows:
 Article Submissions
IAPPM members elected to the grade of Associate are requested to submit a technical paper on some aspect of project or program management within 12 months of being elected an Associate. The reason being that this will benefit all junior members of IAPPM.
The paper will be published at the IAPPM members site or our IAPPM newsletter. If acceptable, it will also be offered to other relevant journals for publication. Authorship will always be acknowledged.
Copyright and ownership will remain with the author, but the Association retains the right to publish and offer for publication the paper at its discretion. Any payments or fees received from the publication of the paper will be shared in two equal parts between the author and the Association.
Articles should be no less than 500 words and be delivered in MS Word (.doc) format all images are to be saved as separate files in (.jpg) or (.tiff) format.
 Volunteer Criteria
It is strongly recommended that Associates volunteer their time to IAPPM in the following manner.
  Participating in volunteer projects (Standards committee is one example)
  Assisting with IAPPM newsletter and article submissions
  Assisting with numerous tasks and activities
